Ramadan is the month of victory. The two most important victories of the Muslim nation took place in this month of Ramadan. One was the Battle of Badr; the other was the conquest of Mecca.<\/p>\n

The Battle of Badr was the first direct battle between Islam and disbelief. In that battle, only 313 brave Mujahideen, led by the Holy Prophet (PBUH), fought to save the infant Islam, intoxicated by the nectar of martyrdom. They had neither food nor weapons; only the strong Islamic soldiers, who were believers, risked their lives and fought face to face with the infidels who were much stronger. That day was the 17th of Ramadan in the second year of Hijri.<\/p>\n

The Messenger of Allah, prostrating himself on the battlefield, prayed, \u201cO Holy Lord! The arrogant Quraysh have come to the battlefield with all their might today to wipe out the name of Your religion from this world. A few helpless soldiers of truth are present in the field today, determined to use all their strength to raise the banner of your truth. You are their guardian. You are the only one who can help them. A handful of my followers are fighting in the field, relying on the promise you have given me. Protect them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Allah said, \u201cO Habib! Do not worry. Throw a handful of dust at the infidels. Your victory is certain.\u201d The Holy Prophet (PBUH) raised his head from prostration and threw a handful of dust at the infidels. Immediately, the infidel soldiers started running in all directions. They were being killed by their own swords. By the blessings of Ramadan, and by the grace of Allah, the victory of the Muslims in the war began in a short time.<\/p>\n

The second victory of the Muslim nation in the holy month of Ramadan was the historic conquest of Mecca. The Mecca campaign was successful under the leadership of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in the month of Ramadan of the 8th year of Hijri.<\/p>\n
