Ramadan is the season of achieving virtue. The amount of virtue that can be achieved in this month is not possible in any other month. For the production of any crop, the right season and favorable environment are required. Just as vegetables are produced in abundance in the winter season. Mangoes and jackfruits produce well in the summer. Similarly, immense virtue can be achieved in Ramadan. The Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa.) said,
- Every good deed of the son of Adam is multiplied ten to seven hundred times. But the matter of fasting is different. Allah the Almighty says, “Fasting is only for Me, so I will reward it.” (Bukhari, Muslim)
- One of the gates of Paradise is called Raihan. The word Raihan means thirst quencher and satisfyer. That gate is only for the fasting person. No one else will be able to enter through that gate. And whoever enters through that gate will never thirst. (Bukhari, Muslim)
- The sleep of a fasting person is like worship. His silence is like reciting Tasbeeh. The fasting person receives a great reward for his small acts of worship. His supplication is accepted and his sins are forgiven. (Bayhaqi)

On the one hand, the amount of worship increases during Ramadan. Fasting during the day, worship at night. Worship continues throughout the day and night. On the other hand, for every act of worship, the reward for good deeds is increased at least 70 times. This is why Ramadan is called the season of goodness.
